About

Jennifer Morey Cunningham is a Los Angeles based artist and instructor known for her bold, vibrant watercolors and her ability to create meaningful artistic experiences. She earned a BFA in Printmaking from the Massachusetts College of Art and moved to California in the 1980s, where she continued her studies at Santa Monica College and Otis getting a degree in Textile Design.
As a teenager growing up surrounded by Victorian homes, she painted pen-and-ink watercolors and knocked on neighbors’ doors to ask if they would like to purchase a portrait of their home. Today, her house portraits are cherished heirloom pieces. Jennifer works closely with clients to create one-of-a-kind commissions for private collectors, families and real estate professionals
After moving to Los Angeles, Jennifer gained recognition for painting city landmarks and historic architecture. She was featured in the Downtown News and was awarded a grant to paint six historic theaters on Broadway in Los Angeles.
Inspired by the Impressionists and their devotion to en plein air painting, Jennifer is passionate about sketching and painting on location. Her love of painting led her to teaching. She has taught hundreds of students of all ages the foundations of fine art; drawing, design, color, composition, and painting.
